What do snails and slugs look like?
Slugs and snails have soft bodies, but snails have a hard shell covering them. Adults can grow to be 25 to 100 mm in length.

Slugs and snails enjoy hiding in damp places. You’ll most likely find them under planters, below decks, or under logs. They feed on leaves and plants during the night and return back home during the day. They both lay eggs in the spring and summer and cover them with soil. The eggs hatch in just a few days and have been known to live for many years.
