In general, moths have two wings that are covered in scales and large eyes. They can vary in appearance and size. Some moths are beautiful in color, while others are plain brown and gray.

Moths behavior and habits vary as much as their appearance. Some moths are considered major pests, while others don’t have much of an impact on humans or agricultural products. Moths are actually a good food source for lots of animals, such as birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and even a few plants.

Moth Invasion. How can you tell?
The signs of a moth invasion depend on which type of moth you have. Just like their appearance and habits can be different, so can their invasion signs. Inside your home, moths can be detected by the adults that are on the go, flying around the room. You will know when you have a fabric-feeding moth when you notice your clothes having small holes in them. Others will leave cocoons, droppings, and webbings of their activity. You could also notice damaged food in your pantry or their pupae may be seen in corners of drawers, walls or cabinets.
